Why did Broly hate Goku so much? Well since the movie Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan came out.
A lot of people thought that Goku’s constant crying in the Saiyan nursery irritated baby Broly to a point where he developed Postramatic Tress Disorder (P.T.S.D).
However, in the movie Dragon Ball Super Broly that came out November 14th, 2018.
We learned that Broly hates Goku for different reasons base on what happened to him in the past.
So, here in this short blog post, I will explain as best as I can to clarify the reason why Broly hates Goku so much in Dragon Ball Z and In Dragon Ball Super Broly movie.
Why Does Broly Hate Goku so Much?
The reason why Broly hates Goku in Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan movie was the fact that Goku had a power level of 2 and showed more signs of being a strong Saiyan.
Broly on the other hand had a power level of 10,000 and did not show any sign of being a strong Saiyan. PTSD of Goku and being exiled by this own race with a toxic dad make things worst.
While Broly had an unusually higher power level than most Saiyan soldiers a birth, he was being mock by the Saiyan nurses soldiers for being quiet.
Baby Goku kept crying getting all the attention for days and that started to irritate baby Broly.
Baby Broly was smart enough to sense what was going on and carried those feelings with him for the rest of his life.
Whenever Broly sees Goku or hears the name Kakarot. He remembers those feeling a lot with other PTSD struggle from birth and getting violent.
Over time, Broly had become corrupt with his powers that is consume him to a point where he can’t control himself.
Broly would then become more violent and sadistic over the years growing up.
So, whenever Broly hears the word Kakarot, he remembered Goku and the sense of being mocked as weak when they were in the nursery.
Broly developed hate because he wanted to prove to Goku aka Kakarot that he’s the Legendary Super Saiyan.
Also around the fact that he is more powerful than the baby with a power level of 2.

The ReASON Why Broly hates Goku?
The main reason why Broly hates Goku and Vegeta was not really hatred in the Dragon Ball Super Broly 2018 movie. Broly was an infant who was exiled by his own race and King because of his superior power level.
After being left to die on Planet Vampa, Broly’s father Paragus noticed Broly developing powers influent Broly to become toxic with heat and revenge.
After being found by Friea’s soldiers on Planet Vampa, and knowing the whereabouts of Goku and Vegeta. Paragus only had one thing in mind and it was to get revenge on Goku and especially Vegeta.
The Saiyan Race and Pride in Strenght
Broly like most Saiyans including King Vegeta and his son Vegeta has deep-rooted pride in Saiyan strength.
Broly and Vegeta are Saiyans who do not want to seem or look weak. However, unlike Broly, his power is always building up to a higher level to a point of overflowing.
Broly wants to kill Goku and prove to everyone that he is a strong Saiyan to the stronger Super Saiyan.
Elite Saiyans and Low-Class Saiyans
When it comes down to the Saiyan birth, it used to be that a Siayn would be classified as an Elite or low-class based on their birth power level.
Despite their ability as a warrior race to fight and improve while getting Zenkai Boost. They only rely on birth power levels.
Saiyan philosophy believes that only a high power level Saiyan will become strong, while a weak Saiyan will become a weak low-class.
This is something that is based on their whole child-ranging system.
Newborns like Vegeta and Nappa are kept on the planet trained and developed into Elite warriors. However, infants like Goku and Ratiz are shipped off to die or conquer the planet they’re sent to.
The Philosophy Of the Saiyan Race
The philosophical Saiyan race conflict around the Saiyan arc, particularly between Goku and Vegeta. Vegeta and Nappa when they arrived on earth, believe that their strength is invisible to that of humans or other races.
However, earth’s martial arts heroes were taught the value of hard work, dedication, and discipline.
Martial artists on earth believe that even if the weakest person can overpower an elite Saiyan/warrior if they trained hard enough.
Nevertheless, Goku learns this from his masters and continues to prove this point again and again throughout the series of Dragon Ball
Broly on the other hand is the pure embodiment of the Legendary Saiyan. The Saiyans believe in natural-born talent. But that does not apply to Goku.
A Legendary Super Saiyan born with a battle power of 10,000 cherished and praised because of their superiority. However, that was not the case with Broly.
Nevertheless, Goku did not know of or recognize Broly’s overwhelming superiority. That’s what the whole crying short clip is about.
A newborn with a battle power or power level of 2, baby Goku is wailing and crying at the top of his lungs, as a true Saiyan should. Despite being a little brat with a single-digit battle power, Goku had guts and balls as a true Saiyan.
